Welcome!
I am an 8th grade English and United States history teacher at POCS. I absolutely love being an educator and whole heartedly believe that POCS is a very special place. I am proud to be a part of this amazing team and love getting to work with middle schoolers. I have been teaching at POCS since the 2014-2015 school year and have a M.A.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and hold two teaching credentials: a Multiple Subject Credential and a Single Subject Credential in Social Sciences. I previously taught second grade in Rincon Valley and Windsor school districts, as well as 5th and 6th grades at Jack London Elementary. In my spare time you can find me hiking, backpacking, traveling, working in my garden, or hanging with my family and our pack of rescue dogs. I appreciate a balance of down time and being adventurous. I am a lifelong learner and hope to instill a sense of wonder, curiosity and a drive to take meaningful action in each of my students.
Email is my preferred method of contact and I check my email at least 1-2 times per day. My email address is [email protected] or you can also send me a message via ParentSquare. You can access your student's grades online by visiting the school's online grade book at https://pinerolivet.aeries.net/
