A Little About Myself.
Hello! My name is Katie Sawyer and I have been in the Piner-Olivet district for 8 years now. I began as a student teacher, then a long-term substitute, and taught 6th grade for three years at Jack London. This will be my third year teaching 8th grade at POCS and I am excited for another year. I had a busy summer traveling and preparing for the arrival of our first baby. We will be welcoming her to our family this November. This is such a pivotal year for students as they prepare for high school and I cannot wait to be a part of their experience here at POCS. I attended Sonoma State for my BA in Psychology. My heart was always pulling me in the direction of education so I went back to school at the University of San Francisco for my Multiple-Subject Credential and Masters in Education. I enjoy learning alongside my students and experiencing their growth and development throughout the school year. I look forward to working with each of you this year! |
