Minutes  Virtual Zoom Meeting Tuesday November 17, 2020  6:00 p.m.  Call to Order:  Meeting called to order by President Shona Johnson at 6:01PM.
Parents in Attendance:    Shona Johnson, Kelly Roberts, Alyssa McCoy & Darla Pimlott POCS Staff in Attendance:    Kirsten Sanft
Secretary’s Report:    Meeting minutes from October 20, 2020 approved.  Motion made by Kelly Roberts and second by Shona Johnson, motion passed.
Treasurers Report:    No Report
Principals Report:    The number of students attending POCS is 202.  The reduced number is due to students leaving the state or opting for a home schooling program. One new PA has been hired on a part time basis.  She is going to be a great addition to the staff. Kirsten feels lucky to be working with such dedicated and hardworking teachers. Health and Career classes are usually taken by the 7th and 8th grade classes.  Kirsten and the teachers are trying to figure out how to get something in place to provide similar classes in an online option. There are funds in order to do that. There will be some maintenance to the buildings in the future.  Nothing being built but more along the lines of keeping things looking and functioning well. December 3, 2020, there will be a virtual Family information night through Zoom.
Bank Signers:    The last signature needed at the bank is Jessica Brandenburg’s.  Kelly Roberts is going to send her a reminder.
Officer Elections:    There are still vacant positions that need to be filled.    Treasurer- interim Kelly Roberts     Co-Volunteer- vacant New Business:    Kirsten would like to keep in mind doing something for the teachers in the spring, to show our appreciation.  Kirsten brought up trying to do some dine and donate events. Everyone is going to call various restaurants to see who would be willing to participate.  A few of the Restaurants listed were Panda, Pieology, Mary’s Pizza and the Habit.
There was a discussion about how to get the dine and donate information out to the parents.  Darla noted that last year as co volunteer, several of the parents had connections to the restaurants and made calls to set up the dine and donate time frames.  The information was then pushed out in the school letter and the school website.  Also, Facebook postings were done, and notifications were pushed out through sign up genius directly to parents’ emails.
Darla stated that the sign-up genius parents email list needs to be updated.  Kirsten is going to get a list from Karen to upload into the sign-up genius.  Darla is going to help get Alyssa familiar with sign up genius, since she helped last year as the co-volunteer.
Adjournment:    Meeting adjourned at 6:30 PM.
